Every person working on or around a project should return home safely. The HSE officer makes that practical on site, every day.

You will run site orientations, permit-to-work systems, lockout/tagout, lifting and working-at-height controls, contractor safety management, and incident reporting — with the authority to stop work that is not safe.

Safety before schedule is a company principle. This role is where it is enforced.

Responsibilities

  • Run site orientations and daily hazard identification
  • Administer permit-to-work and lockout/tagout systems
  • Oversee lifting operations and working-at-height controls
  • Manage contractor safety compliance on site
  • Lead incident reporting, investigation, and emergency-response readiness

Requirements

  • Three years or more in construction or electrical site safety
  • Recognized HSE qualification (NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent)
  • Experience around generators, switchgear, and live electrical work
  • Confident stopping work and explaining why
  • Available for site assignments
